First Qatar Conference on Public-Private Partnerships
Location: Doha, Qatar

The 1st Conference on the Development of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) took place in Doha, Qatar, with the objective of raising awareness among the business sector about Law No. 12 of 2020, which regulates the partnership between the two sectors (it is the first law launched in Qatar on the subject).
DIMA’s CEO Dr. Luana Ozemela was invited by Sheikh Dr. Thani Bin Ali Al-Thani, the Chairman of the Conference. She presented the Latin American experience of PPPs, risks and apportunities for collaboration between Qatar and Brazil.

Doing Business in Qatar
Location: Santos Neto Advogados Office, São Paulo, Brazil

DIMA in partnership with Santos Neto Advocator organized a unique workshop so that Brazilian CEOs could have the opportunity to know a little more about the opportunities in Qatar, and how to enter this market. DIMA also provided free consultancy during the event. This event is part of an effort to bring countries closer together because DIMA believes in the tremendous opportunity that exists for Brazil and Qatar to foster an enabling environment for business and investment. This is another of the different strategies to support the opening of new markets for both nations, showing the best of both economies and strengthening political, technological, economic and cultural cooperation.
Brazil Africa Forum (7th Edition)

Invited by the Brazil Africa Institute for the 7th Edition of the Brazil Africa Forum, Development Impact Manager and Advisors (DIMA) founder and CEO Luana Ozemela discussed the experience of Qatar, which, like most African nations struggle with adverse weather when it comes to farming. Dr. Ozemela presented the opportunities in the face of the economic embargo, which has boosted farming in Qatar, by forcing it to strive for self-sufficiency in food supplies.
Women in the Labor Force in Qatar and Globally
Location: GE A4 Building, Qatar Science and Technology Park, Doha, Qatar
Date: 7th October 2019
Invited by General Electric in Qatar, Luana Ozemela, Founder and CEO of DIMA, led the technical discussion on Women in the Labor Force in Qatar and Globally. Keynote by Kristen Sanderson, VP of Customer Success at GE Power, included her experience in the workforce, obstacles she faced and how she overcame them. The panel discussed numerous topics that included building a strong female network, having more men and women involved in these support groups, innovations brought about by females in the male-dominated field of engineering, encouraging young females in joining engineering, and having gender diverse interviewers for job applications. Panel discussants included Dema Almasri, Daria Revina, Rasha bint Khamis Al-Sulaiti, Lolwa Al-Fagih.
